2025 UPDATED Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse

Description

The amendment to Section 413 of the Social Services Law requires the mandated Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment/Neglect coursework to include the addition of guidance on identifying an abused or maltreated child when such child is an individual with an intellectual or developmental disability.  This workshop provides the updated 2025 New York State Mandated Reporter Training developed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

The law requires every person who is required to take the mandated training related to child abuse, including those who have previously undergone this training, to complete the new updated training by November 17, 2026.
